Unchanged. That describes many levels of my life right now. My knowledge of the radiation schedule. My mammogram. My shoulder/mouth/neck pain. My weight.
The 'boob in a box' exam was just as fun as it always is. I always think there should be circus music playing, "Lean forward, stick your butt out, turn your head, rotate your shoulder, move your feet., take a deep breath and hold it." She was very careful of the sternotomy site. So careful in fact that she didn't get all of me in one of the pictures and had to take another. When they go to check the films and don't come back for awhile, it is freaky.
They gave me a number and I called yesterday after four. They list all the patient numbers who need to return for rescreening. I sucked air when he said #222, because I was number 223, but then he went on to 298.
I have an appointment with a massage therapist who specializes in medical massage. I'm hoping she can do something about this shoulder. I can tolerate most of the other discomforts, but not being able to move my shoulder is seriously frustrating.
The weather here is finally nice. Highs in the 70s. Low humidity. Light breeze. The garden is going crazy. I just want to be outside all the time, which makes cleaning up the house difficult.
Other than that, I'm just on shuttle duty for swim team and volleyball camp and working on Alumni Band stuff. Not much to tell. Just touching base for now.
Love,
Kiara
