A new day

Things always seem better when you have slept, I have to say. I even managed to sleep through a fire alarm. It is still looking good for me to go home today if I can get someone to take out this drain in my neck. We see Dr. Dierks on Monday at 1:15. Perhaps they will be able to do the radiation in Eugene.

I am still nervous about radiation, especially since the speech therapist says it makes swallowing very hard and it can damage you teeth. However, the technology has improved, so hopefully they won't have to target a large area.

Open heart surgery, six months of cardiac rehab, this surgery and now radiation. This has certainly been too much fun for me. I wouldn't recommend it.

I'll let you know if I get sprung...

Love,
Kiara

Sleep always helps. Don't worry about the radiation. We could all use 100 chest X-rays a year.
