Here We Go Again

It's 2:45 on Thursday. I brought Kiara home about 45 minutes ago. The surgery went very well. The doctor spoke to me afterward and was pleased. He said they removed 2.5 - 3 pounds of tissue.

Let me just say it's an interesting experience to watch another man draw on my wife's naked chest with permanent markers. I'm sure there's a web site somewhere dedicated to this particular activity.

There was no post-op vomiting for the first time ever. The anethesiologist actaully listened to Kiara when she said "NO HEAVY-DUTY PAIN MEDS. THEY MAKE ME PUKE." So, some extended time in the Recovery Room, some soda crackers and water, and the Darvocet went down and stayed down. Yea.

I also learned how to empty the drains coming from the wounds. Yum.

As I am "big picture" and Kiara is "details", I'm sure she will posting a much more lengthy entry some time soon. She will also be begging for calls, emails, and general boredom-avoiders.

Thanks for everything.

I'm thrilled that there was no puke. I think my phone has this blog site etched into it waiting for an update. Tell Kiara to rest. Love Rob and Dawn
