No photos today

Monday and Tuesday were better than Thursday! Hooray! I don't know if I could face the need to collapse in bed every afternoon.

Yesterday I had a different nurse give the shots and I felt nothing. No sting, no burn, no poke. She said the stinging was because the other nurse didn't let the alcohol dry first and pushed it under the skin with the needle. I only have one tiny bruise so far. I do have a mystery rash, but the concensus is it is from gardening and not Ethyol -- I was crawling around under the big spruce tree planting on Sunday.

Yesterday was also the last day of x-rays, so the process should go much quicker, now. The also took a bunch of digital photos of me-- and I didn't get one! It is strange having pictures taken strapped down with your eyes closed, you just see the flash. I thought this would be the ideal picture to use for my head shot for the alumni awards at Homecoming.

Also yesterday I forgot to take my earrings out. No problems except they almost pulled my ear off because my mask got caught on one coming off.

Today the shots were okay, too. The earrings came out and I didn't have x-rays. It was quick. I also saw the doctor, who was pleased thus far. The nerve pain theory was confirmed by the fact that when the mouth piece pushes on it, the pain stops. I can simulate that by pushing on it with a toothpick. I guess I'll get used to it... easier than walking around poking yourself with a toothpick. I'm sure there is a website for that.

The only somewhat exciting component today was the fact that I didn't eat nearly enough this morning. By the time radiation was over and I picked Karissa up, I was at the shaky point. I still feel a little off despite inhaling some Wendy's food at an unattractive speed while driving. Just like riding a bicycle, once you learn, you never forget. I wonder if I could still put on pantyhose while driving, too?

The weather is warming up nicely. The garden is completely out of control. The tomatoes are as tall as I am. We will need a machete soon, I fear. The last minute Bat Mitzvah stuff is (hopefully) coming together. We are just waiting to hear back from the Rabbis on a few details.
A few more rooms to clean, too, I'm afraid.

Well, Karissa is screaming for chocolate chips, so I should go. Not that she'll eat more than six, but...

Love,
Kiara
