Six down, 29 to go. Radiation is going well. It is becoming routine. Get the shots, read part of a magazine article, get strapped down, and it is all over but the pattern squashed into my skin.
I am still tolerating the shots well. They cancelled the appointment with the gastro as Dr. Gemmell feels I should be able to make it through without the feeding tube. As supporting evidence, I gained two pounds.
Today I am scurrying around getting all the stuff for the alumni award emailed off to the alumni office. Since it is due to them by five today, it is the adult equivalent of typing it on my way to class.
We are also nailing down the last minute details for the Bat Mitzvah. I bought an outfit to wear today. Whoo Hoo! We are also getting things together for the beach afterwards. I can't believe it is almost here.
Karina is not nearly as nervous as I would be. Perhaps the fact that there isn't much time for being nervous because we are always doing stuff helps.
She is getting her contacts fitted on Monday. She doesn't want to wear her glasses, but I don't know if it will be a go for the contacts on the first try.
Oh, the downside? Old. I look old, old, old. I had to have pictures taken, so Kelly took several head shots yesterday. I look old. Ancient. Older than the hills. The snarly smile doesn't make it better, believe me. This is paybacks for commenting how old everyone looked in the 20 year reunion pictures.

Do you get to be curmudgeonly to go with your oldoldoldoldoldold look? It's not worth having the look if you're not allowed the attitude.
On the serious side, I'm glad that the treatments are going so well for you.
