Kiara made it to ICU at 7pm. They tried a different pain medicine, essentially IV Aleve, and that seems to be working well. Kiara was awake, answering questions on Jeopardy, and talking (albeit with a somewhat swollen tongue.) I left around 8:30 to come back to the hotel and get a little sleep. I'll be back at the hospital tomorrow morning and will relay everyone's messages.
I can't say it enough: Thanks to all for the good thoughts and prayers.

I am so happy. Cancer is bad, containment is good. Give her kisses and hugs from us. It sounds like the doctors are taking good care of you both. I will check back in in the morning. Get some sleep.
