Kiara went in at 9:30. We had a parade of people through the prep room this morning - 4 different nurses, the anesthesiologist, the primary surgeon and an assisting surgeon. They all asked the same questions - allergies, history, cardiac issues, etc. Why do medical people even write things in the chart if no one ever looks? Why don't they look in the chart to see if the question has already been answered? If someone is allergic to penicillin, will that answer change in the 20 minutes between visits????
Sorry, I'm a little tired.
They anticipate the surgery will take 4 hours. They even gave me a nifty little pager, so I don't have to sit in the designated waiting room the entire time. When it goes off, they will be approx. 30 minutes from completion. Either that, or my table is ready at the Olive Garden.
You'll know more as I know more. Thanks!

I am siting by my computer today and I pulled out my rosary. I know she will be fine, but I tend to worry when my loved ones exceed 10 hospital days per year. Love, Barbara
