According to the ICU volunteer, Kiara came off the heart/lung bypass machine at 10:20. I should be seeing the surgeon in 40-50 minutes.
If the original time estimate was accurate, this should mean repair and not replacement.

Nope. Full chest cracking. The surgeon says it actually reduces recovery time going in through the sternum.
