Sorry for the delay in posting today.
Kiara is out of ICU and in a regular room. She sat on the edge of her bed a couple of times since last night. She stood up for a few minutes around 1am. When I was there this morning, she actually ate a little (soda crackers, pudding, and 7up).
Her intolerance for painkillers continues. After most of the hard stuff made her nauseous, she settled for a couple of Tylenol. As was said in a previous hospital stay, she'd make a lousy junkie.

Thanks for the update - the emerging Italian old woman in me begins to worry fairly easily these days.
Bummer about the nausea - I recall my mom having similar painkiller issues. It's a good sign that Kiara's eaten something, though.

Yea for the continuing good news! Keep eating the bland stuff so that they will let you have some "real" food soon. ;-)
