I'm Home

Hello everybody. I've been home since this morning. Nothing too exciting to report from today's adventures. They pulled the last two drains out this morning. Not my favorite, but... I had a shower at home and we are trying everything to get the stickum from the heart monitor leads off. I doesn't want to budge. It is pretty disconcerting when your arm sticks to your side and you can't pull it off. Worse are the ones on the chest. It gives a whole new meaning to the term uniboob.
The scar is unattractive and the bump really bugs me (to touch/look at). It is supposed to get better looking. I hope so. Pretty petty since I should just be happy to have a fully functional heart valve.
My mom arrived this morning. She has done more laundry, taken Karina to the video store, bought the girls candy, and planned out her ironing schedule for this week.
June and Kay were right. Getting in a comfortable position to rest is the hardest part. Both naps today involved me taking up the entire bed an about 8 pillows. Tonight should be interesting. Kelly never slept on "my side" of the bed before, but I can't negotiate the dog beds to get over there. This will probably be Abbot and Costello at the top of their game.
If you want to call, you can. I don't have tube down my throat, therefore I can talk.
Love,
Kiara

Kiara, this is going to sound weird, but try peanut butter on the sticky stuff. I know that it works to remove tar so maybe it will help. Definately go for the creamy version unless you have a great desire to experience the exfoliating qualities. ;)
We are glad that you keep getting better and will keep "checking in."

Malia,

Several internet references said the same thing. Rubbing alcohol did nothing. We're trying baby oil next. Creamy Jif may not be far behind.

Thanks!
