I just spoke to Kiara. They took her off oxygen around 1am and also removed the catheter. The surgeon stopped in this morning and said they would be removing the chest tubes today. She has been up for a walk, eaten breakfast, and is in generally good spirits.
I'm headed to the hospital now. Will "speak" with you all later.

These are all great signs - it seems like she's doing really, really well. I agree with Moira - catheters SUCK!!
